Staff Meal Discount (Line Discount 100%) – In Microsoft Dynamics NAV/BC LS Retail

100 % Line Discount Offer

Let us understand how can we trigger a simple staff meal discount in LS Retail. Consider a example where you want a button on the POS where you want to add Staff discount say 100% applicable only for the line. There are many ways to achieve this in LS Retail like you can attach the command on the POS button as shown below.

In above mentioned method system will not capture the type of line discount given. It will be considered as normal line discount without information as Staff Meal Line discount.

Other alternative we have is to use as Line discount offer. Let us see what steps we need to follow in order to configure the same.

Create Line Discount offer as shown below

Important things to consider while creating Line discount offer:- Benefits define percentage of discount, Line-Discount Group define Type of discount and we can even define the validation period for the discount period. What is Validation period?

Make sure you also create the Line discount offer group which will be used in button in POS.

Now Open the POS and attached the above line discount offer to it.See the button properties of the Staff Discount

Once you click on the Staff Discount offer, System will trigger the Line discount of 100% and system will even capture the discount code too for further analysis.
